About Our Custom Chainsaws

“If you opt for a custom Chainsaw, just remember it will only be as good as your Product Support Team & You. I cannot heap enough praise upon the team at TimberlandSupply.ca in Edmonton, AB. Absolute consummate professionals. I most-highly recommend this firm for the very reason that this is the single-best customer service that I have ever received in my lifetime of 65-years!!!“–Gerald Higgs

The performance enhancing chainsaw Bakerization mods were developed by Timberland to meet the demand for a ruggedized customization that improves efficiency and cutting speed.

Simply put, a Bakerized custom chainsaw is a smoother, more powerful, cooler running, longer lasting machine that allows you to complete your work more quickly and efficiently.

All chainsaws that go through our Bakerization process leave our shop with a uniquely serialized dog tag clearly identifying it as “Bakerized”.  This dog tag indicates that your high-performance chainsaw has been significantly improved and is now built to outperform and outlast other modified and non-modified chainsaws.

Our Chainsaw Customization Process

We have gone through several changes to our Bakerization process since we began building these about 10 years ago. The process we use today is a highbred amalgamation of what we have learned over the years and allows us to build you a very strong saw at a reasonable price. We start by tearing your new saw down and removing the intake and exhaust components from the cylinder. Then we perform a squish test to see how much material we will remove from the cylinder to increase the compression. We send the cylinder out for machining and once it is returned to us, we port and polish the intake, exhaust, and transfer ports. Then we modify the stock exhaust with an additional port that has been correctly sized for you saw. After that is complete, we can then perform some or all of the following modifications, depending entirely upon your preferences and the exact make and model of your saw:

  • Apply ceramic heat reflective coatings to the piston crown
  • Apply heat dissipating coatings to the cylinder
  • Apply heat dissipating coating to the muffler
  • Complete a Blackout Edition custom plastics mod.

The completed Bakerization process results in a more efficient and longer lasting work saw that reaches rpm faster and runs cooler with better airflow and heat dissipation.

Bakerization Warranty

Timberland Supply protects all new STIHL and Husqvarna Bakerized saws with the same warranty coverage as the original equipment manufacturers provide on their stock saws. Please see manufacturer’s website for warranty details and contact us prior to attempting a repair. Also note that Bakerizied saws must be returned to us for warranty repairs.

For all repair or service-related issues, it is the customer’s responsibility to pay all shipping costs associated with returning the saw to us at our location in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is so that we may inspect the saw and determine the cause of the issue.

If it is determined that the issue is warrantable (as determined by the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines and approval process), then Timberland Supply will complete all warrantable repairs at no cost to the customer and pay for the return shipping to the original shipping address. If it is determined that the issue is non-warrantable (as determined by the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines and approval process) then the customer will be responsible for all the costs of repairs and the return shipping to the original address.

In all cases where you may encounter an issue with your Bakerized saw, you are strongly advised to contact us as soon as you are able

Finally, please note that we do not sell and ship any stock saws – only modified saws. To purchase a stock saw from our store, you or your designate must be at our physical location in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
